Bio and Resume
Sara Kimber is a figurative sculptor and art gallery president living in Arcata, California. Born in Cambridge, England she moved to America in 1967 and spent her childhood traveling the world with her Botanist father and OB-GYN Mother.

Fueled by her father's passion to understand the origins of wheat and her mother's awareness of women's health care and rights, Sara traveled through the fields, landscapes and homes of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The sculpture laden temples of India, the meditative aesthetic of Asia, and the terra cotta warriors were major influences to her art. The amazing, caring, intelligent people, and the inequities they delt with influenced Sara’s personal activism.
Retired from her 30-year role as a project manager, Sara is evolving her artistic practice, managing a non-profit art gallery and mentoring museum and gallery practices interns. Her work has appeared in numerous online and in-gallery exhibitions.
