Bio and Resume
Sara Kimber is a figurative sculptor and art gallery president living in Arcata, California. Born in Cambridge, England she moved to America in 1967 and spent much of her childhood traveling the world with her Botanist father. Fueled by her father’s passion to understand the origins of wheat, Sara traveled through the fields and landscapes of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The figurative sculpture laden temples of India, the meditative aesthetic of Asian Art, and the Terracotta warriors were major influences to her art.
Retired from her 30-year role as a project manager, Sara is evolving her artistic practice, managing a non-profit art gallery and mentoring museum and gallery practices interns. Her work has appeared in numerous online and in-gallery exhibitions. When she isn’t creating art, or at the gallery, Sara enjoys painting the beautiful scenery of Humboldt County.
